Step by step guide on how to install Homebrew and usbloader (noob proof)

Hacking Modding Nerd: Install the Homebrew Channel on Nintendo Wii Menu Version 4.3 (Easier & Updated)

Never Update Your Wii Through Nintendo

You will need:
-Lego Indiana Jones (4.3E/4.3U)
or
-Super Smash Bros Brawl (ONLY 4.3U)
-a standard SD Card, Up to 2GB, SDHC Cards will NOT work

-You may need a Gamecube controller
-DVD-R disks for Burnt/Backup Wii and Gamecube Games
-USB device for Backup Wii Games

-Step 1, Load HackMii Installer
1. Format SD Card
2. Download [HMN] Wii 4.3 Hack Pack (Part 1)

3. Extract using WinRar

4. Copy to SD Card
(Do NOT insert SD Card into Wii yet)

-Option 1, Indiana PWNS, 4.3E/4.3U, Virgin Wii Friendly
1. Play Lego Indiana Jones, complete the first level, make a save game.

2. Go to Wii Settings, Data Management, Save Games, Wii
3. Delete the Lego Indiana Jones save game
4. Insert SD Card and copy Indiana Pwns for your region
5. Play Lego Indiana Jones, load save game slot 1
6. When the game loads, you will be in Barnett College. Walk to the Art Room (through the Courtyard),
approach the left character on the podium. When it zooms on him, choose the switch to option
(two silhouettes, staggered, with an arrow pointing between them).
7. Hackmii Installer Loads

-Option 2, Smash Stack, ONLY 4.3U, Virgin Wii Friendly
1. If you already have a SSBB savegame, delete from Wii
2. Start SSBB (with SD Card Removed) make a save file
3. Go to the stage builder, Delete all custom stages, Exit stage builder
4. Insert SD Card, Go to stage builder
5. HackMii Installer loads

-Step 2, Install The HomeBrew Channel and BootMii
BootMii IOS Installs Automatically
1. Read: If you paid, You have been scammed -Press 1
2. Install Homebrew Channel
3. Install BootMii as Boot2 (if you can)
4. Prepare the SD card for BootMii
5. Exit Hackmii Installer
6. Homebrew Channel loads

-Step 3, NAND Backup (Recomended)
1. Load HBC, press HOME, launch Bootmii
2. Make a nand backup
3. Press Power, Power, Power, Reset, Reset (or use Gamecube Controller)
4. Eject=Left, Reset=Select, Power=Right
5. Backup your Bootmii files to your PC
sd:\bootmii
sd:\nand.bin
sd:\key.bin
*DO NOT LOSE THESE FILES*
If you want to load BootMii again at a later date, copy the BootMii files back to the SD Card

-Step 4
1. Format your SD Card
2. Download [HMN] Wii 4.3 Hack Pack (Part 2)

3. Extract and Copy to SD Card

-Step 5, Install WAD's
Never Uninstall IOS, you will brick your wii
1. Start HBC, Load Multi Mod Manager
2. Select "WAD Manager" - Press A
3. Press (1) to "Install all Wads" - Press A
4. 19 wads should install without issue
5. "Press any button to continue"
Be sure all the wads install, very important
If the wads fail to install, install 1 at a time
6. Press B two times- main menu

For those having problems with the WAD's, Go to the HBC, Press home on the Wiimote and Load Bootmii, Then load the WAD's from there.

-Step 6 - Downgrade to System Menu 4.1 (Optional but Highly Recommended)
This step is Optional, but downgrading to 4.1 will restore bannerbomb and region free, and fully supports all hackmii versions
DO NOT do this before installing all WADs without error (you will brick)

-Network Install-
1. From the main menu, Select Manage System Menu, Press A
2. Install System Menu 4.1
3. Press B- main menu

-Offline Install-
1. Download and a System Menu WAD for you region
Use NUS Downloader, or below
4.1U(America/NTSC)

2. Extract to sd:\wad
3. Select Wad Manager -Press A
4. Select System Menu-NUS-v4XX.wad, Press A, Press A again to install
DO NOT Install the wrong system menu
5. Press B two times- main menu

-Step 7 Install Priiloader (Highly Recomended)
1. Select App Manager -press A
2. Select Priiloader -press A
3. Read the warning- press A to install
4. Reboot wii, priiloader should load
5. Hold Reset to load Priiloader
6. Select Wii System Hacks
5. Enable "Block Disk Updates", and "Block Online Updates", others if you like
If you don't know what the hack does, you don't need it.
*error -106 is not an issue, and is expected*

-Step 8, Install DARKCORP (Optional)
DARKCORP enables backup disks to be loaded from the wii disk channel, without using a loader.

-Step 8, Install MIOS Patcher (Optional)
MIOS Patcher enables backup Gamecube disks to be loaded
1. install MIOS Patcher from HBC

HomeBrew version 1.0.7 or newer is resistant to the system updates, so if you just install a newer version you won't need Priiloader or to block Nintendo's updates. I did it on Badger's Wii.
